Mike Ohman - C.E.O.

For 20 years Mike has been providing expert advice and expertise for clients throughout western Canada and beyond.

After receiving his certification as a power engineer, he transitioned into the world of audio and lighting and eventually owned a sound and lighting rental company. As a sound engineer, he did events for 50000+ people, using systems costing in the multi-millions, and worked with world class acts the Birds and Heart among others.

In the early 90’s Mike sold his company, and while at school studying business management, worked at an electronics systems firm in Vancouver before opening Beyond Audio in the Okanagan in 1995.

Mike is a CEDIA certified instructor – teaching all aspects of the electronic systems contracting business to interior designers, architects, home builders and other industry professionals so they can obtain continuing education credits.

Mike holds virtually every industry accreditation including: CEDIA certified Electronic Systems Designer THX (Lucas Films) Level 2 Home Theatre Design and Calibration Board Member of the CEDIA Technology Council Past President of the CHBA Kelowna 4 Years on the Board of Directors for the CHBA BC
