Beyond Audio
For Custom Builders

Your AV partner from groundbreak to close.

Beyond Audio has worked alongside top custom builders since 1995 — founded in Kelowna, BC and now serving Scottsdale and Paradise Valley — designing lighting control, whole-home automation, motorized shades, theater and outdoor AV that’s pulled in at rough-in, tuned during trim, and calmly hands off at final walkthrough. One accountable partner. No punch-list surprises.

A prewire done once, done right.

The prewire is the entire foundation of a luxury home’s technology, and it’s the one phase nobody gets a do-over on. Every Cat6a run, every keypad box, every speaker back-can gets committed to the studs before insulation goes in. Miss it there and the client pays for it in cut drywall and design compromises for the next twenty years.

We design the wire on paper first — every plate location planned before framing closes, every home run mapped to a room and a device. We mark the studs before framing closes. We walk the plan with the electrician so Lutron keypad legs are gathered where they should be, not scattered across three panels. We put pull strings in every conduit because the client’s next TV, camera, or access point is coming, whether it’s on today’s plan or not.

When drywall goes up, the house is already ready for the system it’s going to become.

How we work with the build team.

We’re a partner on the build, not a subcontractor on the punch list. That means we’re in the room for the schematic-design review, the pre-drywall meeting, the trim walk, and the final walkthrough — and we own our scope on every one of them.

  • Design phase: we sit with the architect and interior designer to place displays, speakers, keypads and shades where they belong aesthetically before wire gets committed.
  • Pre-drywall: plate locations marked on the studs, coordinated switch legs with the electrician.
  • Trim & finish: trim rings, speaker grilles, keypad plates, shade fascias — installed clean and level with the millwork crew, not fought over at punch.
  • Commissioning: scenes named, remotes labeled, cameras tuned, network verified, mobile app on the client’s phone.
  • Handoff & beyond: labeled rack, contact info for ongoing support — and a service plan ready for the client if they want ongoing care.

One accountable integrator. One number to call. No finger pointing between the “low-voltage guy” and the “automation guy” because we’re both.
